Indonesia and Brazil are joining us on September 26, 2009, which makes them the 41. and 42. nations to take part in a global citizen consultations in order to make the views of the public heard. Â
With an estimated population of around 237 million people, it is the world's fourth most populous country and the most populous Muslim-majority nation. With its many eartquakes and volcanos it is highly affected by climate change.
Our national partner in Indonesia is DML (Dana Mitra Lingkungan) - Resource Foundation for Environmental Partnership. Â
Along with the three other BRIC countries - Russia, India, and China - Brazil ensures the participation of the four largest growing and fast developing countries in the world.
The citizen consultation in Brazil is established in cooperation between two partners: Centre de Estudos em Sustentabilidade da EAESP and Observatório do Clima.
